This Week in AI – Build Your Own Claude Apps & Let String’s Agents Work While You Sleep
Big week for no-code/low-code automation fans. Two fresh tools just dropped that make it easier than ever to turn prompts into fully-fledged AI workflows. Let’s dive in.
1️⃣ Build Your Own AI App With Claude
Claude just rolled out “Artifacts,” a new feature that lets you turn a plain-text prompt into an interactive mini-app. Flip on the “Create AI-powered artifacts” beta toggle in your Claude settings, describe the functionality you want, and Claude will spin up an app that can even call the Claude API behind the scenes
Why it matters: instead of exporting code or copying and pasting responses, you can house your entire workflow—UI and all—inside Claude. Think instant project planners, idea generators, or data-analysis dashboards generated from a single prompt. I built a quick “task-to-subtasks” demo if you want to see it in action: https://claude.ai/public/artifacts/5bdfe8ff-1e69-4ac5-9a7e-681665161257
2️⃣ Discover String: The AI Agent Builder That Works While You Sleep
String is an early-access platform that lets you chain together API calls, logic, and LLM steps into autonomous “agents.” Picture an agent that fires every morning at 6 a.m., grabs San Francisco’s weather from the National Weather Service, drops the data in Sheets, and then asks an LLM to recommend the perfect activities for the day.
Why it matters: you get Zapier-style ease of use plus GPT-level reasoning—all scheduled, hands-free. The product is still in beta, but the potential to automate repetitive work while layering on intelligent decision-making is huge.
